Robert Kahn

Bio
American electrical engineer who helped design ARPANET's packet-switching hardware and, with Vint Cerf, developed the TCP/IP protocols enabling open interconnection between networks. He later founded the Corporation for National Research Initiatives and developed the Digital Object Identifier system used to identify digital records. He shared the 2004 Turing Award with Cerf.
