Bio
American theoretical physicist who shared the 1965 Nobel Prize for work on quantum electrodynamics and introduced the diagrammatic method now known as Feynman diagrams. He worked on the Manhattan Project, taught influential undergraduate physics lectures at Caltech, and served on the commission investigating the 1986 Challenger disaster, where he publicly demonstrated the failure of the shuttle's O-ring seals.
