Bio

Austrian-American writer and consultant widely described as the founder of modern management as a discipline. Across some thirty-nine books he introduced or popularised concepts including management by objectives, decentralisation, and the knowledge worker. He advised corporations, governments and non-profits, and argued that the purpose of a business is defined by the customer rather than by profit alone.
