Bio
British artificial intelligence researcher, former games developer and neuroscientist who co-founded DeepMind in 2010. Systems developed under his direction include AlphaGo, which defeated a leading professional Go player in 2016, and AlphaFold, which predicted protein structures at scale and released a public database. He shared the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the protein-structure work.
