Vint Cerf

Bio

American computer scientist who, with Robert Kahn, designed the TCP/IP protocol suite that allows independent computer networks to interconnect, the technical basis of the internet. He worked on ARPANET, helped found the Internet Society, chaired ICANN, and has since worked on interplanetary networking protocols. He shared the 2004 Turing Award with Kahn.
